Judith Brandenburg ist Bandoneonistin und Komponistin aus Berlin.
Sie gilt europaweit als eine der erfahrendsten Interpretinnen der Kompositionen von Martín Palmeri. Sie hat nicht nur die "Misa Tango" häufig gespielt, sondern auch seine Werke "Magnificat", "Tango Credo" und "La Creación" u.a. auch gemeinsam mit Martín Palmeri aufgeführt.
Inspiriert von der kraftvollen Vebindung des Tango nuevo mit sakraler Chormusik, schrieb sie in 2017 das halbstündige "Pater noster Tango", das sich zunehmender Beliebtheit erfreut und schon von vielen Chören in Deutschland, der Schweiz und den Niederlanden begeistert aufgeführt wurde.
Nach ihrem klassischen Klavierstudium in Berlin widmete sie sich dem Bandoneon. Sie studierte weitere zwei jahre am Codarts in Rotterdam, wo Karel Kraayenhof, Leo Vervelde und Gustavo Beytelmann ihre Lehrer waren.
Sie komponiert für Film, Hörbuch-, Theater- und Werbeproduktionen. Eines ihrer ungewöhnlichsten Werke ist „Tangrenalin“ für eine Tangotänzerin und einen Shaolin-Kung-Fu-Meister. Mit ihrem Trio La Bicicleta konzertierte sie von Argentinien bis Japan, u.a. mit einer eigenen Adaption von Franz Schuberts Winterreise im Tango nuevo-Stil.
2018 erhielt sie den erstmalig verliehenen „Bandoneon-Preis“ der Stadt Krefeld für „künstlerisch hochinteressante Musik und einen innovativen Ansatz im Bandoneonspiel“.
Ihr Lehrbuch „Mein Bandobuch“ wurde zu einem der wichtigsten Lehrwerke für Bandoneon weltweit.
Ihre freie Zeit vebringt sie mit ihrer Dobermannhündin Amber, mit der man sie beim Lauftraining antreffen kann.

Judith Brandenburg, bandoneonist, pianist and composer, lives in Berlin, Germany. She studied classical piano at the UdK Berlin and HfK Bremen, where she took her concert diploma. Later, she studied Argentine tango at the Conservatory in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with Karel Kraayenhof (bandoneon), Gustavo Beytelman (composition and arrangement) and Leo Vervelde (orquestra).

2009 she founded "La Bicicleta", Trio for tango nuevo, together with the argentine pianist Javier Tucat Moreno, in order to express her own musical language. "La Bicicleta" has performed in concerts and on Festivals in Germany, Norway, Argentina, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Japan.
2009 recordings of her own compositions for Deutschlandradio with "Qué Tangazo!"
2006 she arranged and played extracts from "Don Giovanni" for solo bandoneon for "Mozart and Casanova", comedy by Kerstin Tomiak, performed by theatre "Poetenpack Potsdam". "Mozart and Casanova" was successfully performed in more than 40 cities throughout Germany and Switzerland
2006 she founded the Orquesta de Tango "Qué Tangazo!" for traditional tango. Concerts in Germany, Spain, Czech Republic and Austria.
2005 "Tangoduo Encuentro" together with Diego Rial, guitar (Argentina), playing own arrangements of traditional Tango in Troilo/Gréla-style.
